The annual Top Energy Performing School Boards webinar was held on June 3, 2026. This year’s report delivered updated energy efficiency rankings across Ontario’s 72 school boards, highlighting the top 20 performers and spotlighting the boards that had substantially improved their ranking since the 2025 report. Following the webinar, all participating boards were invited to request the results of energy savings potential analyses for their schools. For more information, contact vasb@fhfgnvanoyrfpubbyf.pn. Additionally, Sustainable Schools partnered with EcoSchools Canada to make this analysis available to school boards across Canada through the EcoSchools Board Program. Since 2017, the non-profit Sustainable Schools program has ranked the energy efficiency of Ontario’s 72 school boards and 4,850 K-12 schools. The program’s goal has been to identify and learn from the most energy-efficient boards and to accelerate energy and emissions savings across the sector by sharing high-performance energy targets and documented best practices.
