Find out about the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on energy use in Ontario school boards, based on our analysis of public energy use data of Ontario’s 5,000 schools. We are proud to bring together school boards and other stakeholders to share insights and highlight key opportunities for greenhouse gas emissions reductions that have high social, environmental and economic impact with a return on investment.
Our report takes the publicly reported annual energy data for Ontario’s 5,000 schools and applies rational, evidence-based targets to determine the savings potential for every building. Results are rolled up to report on savings potential for each school board, and the overall provincial achievable conservation potential for electricity, natural gas, utility costs and greenhouse gas emissions.
